SESSION DESCRIPTION
This session will address Essential Standard 3.00 of the Multimedia and Webpage Design curriculum.  Recent revision has combined Essential Standards 3.00 and 4.00 into one standard:  3.00. Instructors will explain parts of the content in greater depth. They will also model active learning strategies for classroom use and provide teachers with a wealth of instructional resources and materials that can be easily implemented in the classroom by participants. Topics to be covered are multimedia and webpage design. Instructors will also include an overview of Dreamweaver. All participants will become members of an online learning community where they can continue to share resources and offer support to others. Participants must bring their own laptops to participate in the hands-on portions of this session. Laptops must have Windows XP or higher with Microsoft PowerPoint, Windows Moviemaker, and Notepad installed. Office 2003 or higher is acceptable. Laptops must be able to connect to the Internet wirelessly and must be configured to allow software downloads and installation.

NOTE CHANGE IN LOCATION:  The workshop will be held at Northwest High School, 5240 NW School Road, Greensboro, NC, 27409. We will begin each morning at 8:30 a.m., break for lunch, and wrap by 3:30.  We will have school networked desktops available to anyone who chooses to use them rather than bringing a laptop.

PLEASE CONFIRM that you have received word of this location change by emailing Janice Johnson at jjohnson@qtlcenters.org.  Thanks and we look forward to meeting you!  Instructor and event contact is Janice Johnson, 919.302.5733.
